报告题目：Fatigue Design Assessment of Ship Structural Details
Naval Architect with more than 15 years of experience, starting as a Design Engineer in the shipyard industry, focusing on the design and analysis of ship structures and components using classic and finite element tools and monitoring the manufacturing process of the structures. Currently working as a Senior Specialist in the Structures Research & Procedures team of Lloyd's Register Marine & Offshore, coordinating the development of software tools for fatigue design assessments. Obtained a PhD degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon on the responses of marine structures to impact loading and conducted post-doctoral research on the design of crashworthy ship structures. The academic research resulted in numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Currently participating in research on accidental loads due to ship collisions with application to Tanker Vessels and Gas Ships. A member of the International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress (ISSC) - Committee III.2 Fatigue and Fracture. Industrial mentor of Master and PhD students and lead trainer to personnel from ship design/appraisal offices.
